Chaga extract,
The Chaga mushroom, in German called the Schillerporling (Inonotus obliquus), is a parasitic wood inhabitant that forms a black Chaga tuber on birch and alder trees. It is found in colder regions of the world such as Russia, Scandinavia, Central and Eastern Europe, Northern Europe, Japan, Korea and Central Asia (Kazakhstan). The tubers are traditionally used in the medicine of these countries and drunk as a hot water extract.
Chaga tea is traditionally drunk there for tumors, for prevention and accompanying support, especially for lung cancer, stomach and colon cancer, skin cancer, as well as to strengthen the immune system, for gastrointestinal problems and diabetes. Treatment with Chaga for eczema, psoriasis, acne and wounds has been successful in traditional use. According to Wikipedia, laboratory and animal tests have confirmed the anti-cancer effect, but clinical studies are still pending. Wikipedia reports that extracts from the Chaga tubers stimulate the immune system (including in the case of cancer), have an anti-inflammatory effect (particularly good for the stomach and intestinal area), and protect the liver and pancreas. The Chaga mushroom is said to have a positive effect on cholesterol levels, blood pressure, sugar levels and allergies.
Chaga alcoholic extracts or tea are also used to alleviate the side effects of chemotherapy and as a general strengthening agent for skin diseases and psoriasis (anti-inflammatory effect).
